tarte maracuja creaseless concealer

Now, I have mixed feelings about this stuff. I had heard raves about this product to really moisturize under-eyes, but when I bought my first tube I thought the people doing the raving must be nuts. For one thing, it’s a really thick product. I think they’re working on the packaging for this, because it is extremely hard to get out of the tube. A combination of product thickness, the width of the neck of the tube, and what feels like too much air in the tube itself. So it’s a little hard to work with, just in terms of getting it out of the tube. It’s also somewhat tricky on the skin. It’s great with a teeny amount for covering blemishes or red spots, but I really wanted it for undereye. I was used to a thinner concealer, and the first few times I tried it I used way too much product. I ended up with super cakey horribly obvious concealer circles, plus the product settled into my existing wrinkles (which aren’t even bad!) and made them visible from across the room. I didn’t like! Not at all! But now that I’ve played with it more, changed my application method and the amount of product I am using, I am a fan. It’s thick, it’s waterproof, you have to blend it softly and well (I am using a beauty blender) but once you get it on properly, it stays in place.

MAC pro longwear concealer

The concealer is fantastic! On the website it is described as 'medium to full coverage'. I think it is full coverage for sure - if you are after a concealer that you could double up as a foundation then this would be perfect! This product is also described as having a 'matte finish' which I also agree with. However if you team it up with a foundation that has a more dewy of satin finish it does not affect the finish of the foundation which is fantastic. If anything it gives the foundation an even base to sit on. The product has also been described as lasting '15 hours'. Astoundingly I agree with this as well! When I am taking my make-up off at the end of the day this concealer is still hanging on; covering those dark circles from my early 5am starts!

makeup for ever mat velvet+ in shade #30

“Mat Velvet + evens and matifies the skin. Its amino acid coated pigments provide both stability and durability to the makeup. The formula, rich in wheat amidon complex, covers imperfections, neutralizes the shiny areas, and leaves a velvet finish. After silicone-evaporation, its oil-free texture leaves a non-greasy and comfortable finish.”

This foundation is surprisingly lightweight and the liquidy-gel texture smooths evenly onto the skin. It dries matte, stays put, and controls oil amazingly throughout the day. Since it’s non-comedogenic, it’s non-pore-clogging; and, as a person with sensitive skin, this product did not cause any irritaitons or breakouts.

I would say that this is absolutely ideal for the upcoming summer; or, if you’re going to be out and about all day and you need your makeup to perform. I like that I don’t have to powder my t-zone, and I only have to blot once halfway through the day. Sounds good to me! I don’t know about all the “amino acid complexes” or whatever, but it doesn’t bother my skin so I’m fine with that.

the Balm Mary-Lou Manizer

'Meet Mary-Lou Manizer, a seemingly innocent honey-hued luminizer that catches everybody's eye. This highlighter, shadow and shimmer diffuses light so your skin looks softer and younger while adding a subtle glow. Layer it on your lids for luxe-looking lashes, sweep it on your cheeks for a sexy sheen, or use it as an all-over finishing touch before you head out for the night.'-theBalm.com

Could this packaging get any cuter? I think not! I love the humorous name and the gorgeous pin-up girl. You're also getting a ton of product ( $24 for 0.30oz. ) in this adorable compact.  It's super pigmented and leaves a lovely effect. The soft champagne shade leaves a natural but undeniably glowy sheen that would compliment most skin tones. It does have very fine golden shimmer but it's not glittery or overly sparkly. It's the perfect combination of a natural-looking yet noticeable highlight. If you're looking for a subtle highlight, this one may not be for you.

I honestly can't imagine ever hitting pan on this product. Just a light dab on my brush is all I need to highlight my entire face. I use a light hand, dab the brush on the back of my hand to remove excess and blend it out well. Blending is very important with this highlight. If it's not blended out well it will make larger pores more noticeable. However, if applied correctly and properly blended, it will give you a gorgeous candlelit glow.

Benefit Cosmetics Hoola bronzer

I was a little wary that Hoola would be a little dark for my skin tone but I was proven wrong when the Benefit lady applied it to my skin. I looked sun-kissed and healthy which is perfect for me. Hoola is a completely matte bronzer which is a change from NARS Laguna which has a slight shimmer to it, but I like it. The formula is highly pigmented so you will only need a dab on your brush.

The packaging is cute and it comes with a brush, although I'd rather use a blush or powder brush at home this brush is great for if you are travelling as it is soft and works well with the product.

maybelline instant age rewind concealer in 20 light

I absolutely LOVE this product. You only need a little bit to spread over the under eye area so it will last for ages! It makes me look radiant and fresh and I’ve even introduced it into my everyday routine. I will be honest- it does crease a tiny, tiny bit, but I have come to accept that I will never find one that doesn’t. I set this with my Revlon Photoready translucent powder which adds to the overall effect of bright and refreshed eyes.
I apply it with the top sponge then blend with my fingers. I extend its use to a highlighter for the very top of my cheekbones. This product will definitely be in my collection for a very long time. Please let me know if you’ve tried it and what you thought or let me know what concealer you use for under your eyes!

Benefit Cosmetics Erase Paste in #2 Medium

I have used this concealer about 4-5 times and I would say it is not quite an all over face concealer. It has rather strong pink undertones so unless you have more of a pink-ish undertone on your skin, I would not suggest using this as a blemish concealer. I have browsed around other sites and checked out their other shades and it seems those too have a slight pink tinge to them.

I suggest using this product as an undereye corrector since it is pink based but correctors that are pink-based are said to help neutralise greenish undertones. So if you have dark circles that are more green-based then blue-based, this product could work for you. I personally do love it as an undereye corrector and alternate between this one and my Bobbi Brown corrector in Light Peach.

  • I do love the coverage. I would say it's pretty good and would classify it under medium to maybe full coverage
  • The texture is creamy and quite thick, not runny. Almost like what it is called, a paste.
  • It's not drying at all and instead feels a little moist. It does have enough 'stick' to adhere to your skin
  • Since it's creamy I can imagine that it would settle into fine lines, but it's not stubborn to the point it wouldn't budge. Just lightly running your fingers over it when it settles will smooth it back out.
  • You definitely have to take a bit of time to blend this one out since it is quite thick. I recommend using your fingers instead of a brush.
  • When used on the undereye, I feel that it does somewhat lightly brighten the area a little.

Benefit Cosmetics The POREfessional Balm

PRO balm to minimize the appearance of pores

Benefit have called this their hero product, editor’s haven’t stopped gracing it on their beauty pages and bloggers are all talking about it…after all of the hype, I decided to purchase this wonder balm and try it out for myself.
This product has been a saviour for my skin and make-up regime and i’m officially a member of the porefessional fan club! I have oily skin and do suffer from open pores, but when applying the balm I couldn’t believe my eyes when my pores disappeared! It made my skin look so smooth and had a really silky texture, and my foundation glided on easily and my skin looked matte and flawless. I have tried a few primers, but this ranks on the top of my list.

This foundation to me is great. I love how when I apply it to my face it feels so lightweight and does not cake up what so ever. I know its expensive but when I have this foundation on and go out in the sun for hours my skin still looks great and my skin can still breathe. Which to me is so important because if I feel comfortable then I feel confident.
